Virus Specimen Collection Tube Product Description
1. Screw off the tube’s cap, break the swab tip or cotton swab tip that has been collected with
specimen and discard the hand-contact part, immerse the swab tip or cotton swab tip in the
preservation liquid, immediately cover the tube tightly with the tube cap.
2. Identify sampling information according to test specifications.
3. Freshly collected clinical specimens should be transported, tested or inoculated and separated
within 48 hours at 4 ℃. If it is not delivered to the laboratory within 48 hours, it shall be refrigerated.

Virus Specimen Collection Tube Instructions
1. Check the integrity of product packaging before use. It is forbidden to use if the package is
damaged or liquid in the tube leaks.
2. Take sterile swabs or cotton swabs, and collect corresponding tissue specimen according to
relevant test specifications, or refer to the following collection methods:
a)Nasal swab:Insert the swab tip into the nasopalatine part of the nasal canal, stop for a while and slowly turn it to exit, then swab the other nostril with another swab.
b)Throat swab:Wipe bilateral tonsils and posterior pharyngeal wall with swab.
c)Tissue specimen:Rub and collect tissue specimen with a swab.
d)Sampling of mycoplasma, chlamydia and Ureaplasma:
(1) Male: Insert the sterile cotton swab into the urethra for about 2cm, rotate it and take out after several minutes’ stay.
(2). Female:Remove the mucus from the cervix, insert a sterile swab into the endocervical for 1-2cm and take the specimen out.
